- Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt can be reached easily from Klagenfurt West train station and Klagenfurt West motorway exit. The university also has excellent public transport links to the city centre.
BY BUS FROM CITY CENTRE
- From the central station and the city centre the university can be reached using bus line 81 to “Universität” or “Universitätsstrasse”. A ticket for one hour costs € 2.20.
FROM AIRPORT
- Carinthian Airport is 4 km away from Klagenfurt city centre and about 8 km from the university.
Klagenfurt is served by Air Austria, Eurowings and Easyjet. There are direct flights from London (LGW), Hamburg (HAM), Berlin (TXL), Cologne/Bonn (CGN) and Vienna (VIE).The main bus stop at the airport can be found just outside of the arrival halls. There is a bus connection: line 42 from the airport to the city centre. Bus station “Heiligengeistplatz” where you can change to line 81 (direction Universität/Krottendorf) to “Universität” or “Universitätsstrasse”.A taxi from the airport to university costs approximately € 20.00.You may also check for flights to Ljubljana Airport in Slovenia. From there, the bus line “Alpe Adria Line” drives four times per day to Klagenfurt Busbahnhof, which lies directly next to the central station of Klagenfurt.
The bus ride takes about one hour and 15 minutes and costs around € 17.00.
BY CAR
- Please note, if you want to park your vehicle on the campus, you need a parking ticket. Parking charges apply to all users without exception every day from 00:00-24:00 for all car parks at Alpen-Adria-Universität. Car parks are subject to the car parking regulations.Car park charges for visitors
Short stay tickets: € 0.50.– per ½ hour or part of Day ticket: € 7.00.–
Short stay and day tickets are available from the ticket machines.
